The iChunUtility is a Minecraft mod utility that is used for all kinds of different Minecraft mods. From the Morph mod to the Portal Gun mod to the Death Counter mod, there are TONS of different mods that rely on the iChunUtility to get up and running. Thus, we decided to make an in-depth tutorial on how to download & install iChunUtility in Minecraft. Let's go ahead and get it installed and running, so you can start having fun with all of the awesome iChunUtility based mods!
How To Download & Install iChunUtility in Minecraft
Step 1) Download & Install Forge
Before you can install the iChunUtility and any of its compatible mods, you need to install Forge. This isn't a complicated process, but it is a bit much to cover within this tutorial. Step 2) Download The iChunUtility
Now that you have the Forge Mod Loader installed, we need download the iChunUtility. To do this, simply click this link or the download button near the top of the article. That will take you off to the CurseForge download page for the iChunUtility. There, you can download whichever version of the iChunUtility you would like. If you simply want the most recent version, just click the big green download button in the top left. If you want a specific version, click the download icon next to the version you would like.
Step 3) Install The iChunUtility
After you've got the iChunUtility downloaded, installing it is very easy. Just hit the ‘Windows Key' on your keyboard and ‘R' at the exact same time to open up the ‘RUN' program. In the search bar, type ‘%appdata%', and hit enter. This will then open up a ‘Roaming' folder where you will the see ‘.minecraft' near the top. Open this folder, and you should see a ‘mods' folder. If you don't, have a mods folder, no worries! Just simply create one by right clicking selecting ‘New', and then choosing ‘Folder'. You the want to name this folder ‘mods'; make sure it is all lower case. If it is not, it will not work.
After you have the ‘mods' folder open, it's very easy to install the iChunUtility. Just drag the file you downloaded into the ‘mods' folder. Boom! The iChunUtility is installed. Congratulations! The truth is, however, the iChunUtility doesn't do much without installing a compatible mod with it. Thus, move on to Step 4 and find out how to install a compatible iChunUtility mod!
Step 4) Install An iChunUtility Compatible Mod
To install an iChunUtility mod, you need to download one. There are a TON of different ones, so go check them out on iChun's website. You can see a list of every mod he has ever created by hovering over the ‘MODS' button in the menubar. Once you have found and downloaded your mod of choice, it is very easy to get in installed. All you need to do is drag and drop it into the ‘mods' folder you found/created in Step 5. This is the same ‘mods' folder that you put the iChunUtility in. After you've dragged and drop the mods are installed!
Step 5) Select The Correct Version of Minecraft
Now, before you can play any mods with the iChunUtility, you need to make sure you are choosing the correct version of Minecraft to play. To do this, open up the Minecraft launcher as you normally would. Then, click the little arrow next to the ‘PLAY' button. You will then see all of the Minecraft versions you have installed. Find the one titled ‘forge', and click it. After that, you can click ‘PLAY'!
Step 6) Play Minecraft & Have Some Fun!
Congratulations, you now know how to download & install iChunUtility in Minecraft! There are so many mods that are no available to you, I think it's time to go crazy. Try them all and see which ones you like the most and which ones you like the least. By the way, the Morph mod has to be by far my favorite iChun mod ever made.
