This is our Minecraft circle generator. Set a radius, and the tool will generate a pixel-perfect circle layout showing you exactly where to place each block.
Building circles in Minecraft is not intuitive because the game uses a block-based grid. What looks like a circle in real life becomes a pattern of stepped blocks in Minecraft. Getting those steps right, especially at larger radii, requires either a reference image or a lot of trial and error.
This tool removes the guesswork. You set the radius using a slider, and the generator draws the circle on a grid canvas. Outline blocks are shown in green, and fill blocks are shown in a lighter shade. The tool also tells you exactly how many blocks you will need to build the outline and how many to fill the entire circle.
Minecraft Circle Generator
Generate pixel-perfect circles by radius with block-by-block layout.
How to Use the Circle Generator
Use the radius slider to set the size of your circle in blocks. The canvas updates instantly as you adjust the slider. The minimum radius is 1 block and the maximum is 64 blocks.
The green blocks on the canvas represent the outline of the circle. The lighter green blocks represent the interior fill. Below the canvas, you will see the total block counts for both the outline and the fill, displayed as “You will need X blocks to build the outline and Y blocks to fill the circle.”
From here, use the grid as a reference while building in Minecraft. You can also click “Download PNG” to save the circle layout as an image file and keep it open on a second monitor or phone while you build.
What Is This Tool For
This tool is for any Minecraft player who needs to build a circular structure. That includes towers, domes, arenas, fountains, pixel art, crop circles, and any design that requires a round shape on a square grid.
It works for both creative and survival mode. In creative, it helps you nail the shape on the first try. In survival, the block counts let you gather the right amount of materials before you start.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this work for spheres or domes?
This tool generates 2D circles only. For spheres and domes, you would need a separate 3D generator. However, you can use this circle at multiple Y levels with different radii to approximate a dome.
Can I choose different block types?
The generator shows the block layout pattern, which works regardless of what block type you use. The green color on the canvas is just for visibility.
Does this work for Bedrock Edition?
Yes. Block placement works the same way in both Java and Bedrock Edition, so the circle patterns are accurate for both.
What is the largest circle I can generate?
The maximum radius is 64 blocks, which gives you a diameter of 128 blocks.
