Minecraft 1.16.5 Server Download

Minecraft 1.16.5 released on January 14, 2021, and it is the final patch of the Nether Update.

This is one of the most celebrated updates in Minecraft's history. The complete overhaul of the Nether dimension, Netherite tools and armor, new Nether biomes (Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, Basalt Deltas, Soul Sand Valley), Piglins, Hoglins, Striders, and Bastion Remnants all arrived in 1.16 and are fully present in 1.16.5.

1.16.5 holds a unique place in the server community for two reasons. First, it became the go-to version for the Pixelmon modpack and the broader Pokémon-in-Minecraft genre.

Second, it was the last version before the 1.17 Caves & Cliffs split, giving it one of the longest windows of any version for both plugin and mod development. Plugin support, Forge support, and Fabric support for 1.16.5 are all excellent.
