Minecraft 1.21.1 is a patch release for the 1.21 Tricky Trials update, released August 8, 2024. It resolved critical bugs introduced in 1.21 including issues with Trial Chamber loot, Ominous Vaults, and Wind Charge behavior. The Mace weapon, Breeze mob, and Trial Chambers introduced in 1.21 are all fully functional in this patch.

1.21.1 became the de facto stable version of the Tricky Trials era with most server owners who updated to 1.21 immediately moving to 1.21.1 rather than running the base release. Plugin ecosystem support for 1.21.1 is broad, making it a safe choice for any server that needs the Trial Chamber content.
